  • You love exploring and being in nature
  • You want to learn and improve navigation skills using only a compass and a map

*Kids under 9 are welcome if accompanied by a parent or a guardian.

Fees:
The 6 day Camp costs $580.00 (regular fee).  This fee covers accommodation, meals, activities, coaching and transportation during camp, as well as entry fees to the “Azimut Barebones” and “Vampire-O” competitions, camp shirts and caps for the participants. From June 1st, the fee increases to $640 (late registration). Registration closes on Monday July 1st at 23:59.

When a second (or third) child from the same family is registered in the Training Camp, the family is eligible for a discount of $40 for each child registered after the first participant.

An option without accommodation available upon request: $75 per day, price includes 3 training sessions, 3 meals and 2 snacks, 8:00 – 20:00, drop off and pick up at the Ski Pavilion (exception Tuesday pick up at the Camping Morin-Heights after the Vampire-O at 21:30).

WHAT TO BRING (mark your name on everything):

  • Provincial health card (Medicare)
  • Sleeping bag
  • Pillow
  • Sleeping pad/mattress
  • Day pack, large enough to carry a towel and a swimming suit every day
  • Water bottle
  • Toiletries
  • Towel
  • Swim suit
  • Outdoor shoes, at least 2 pairs: orienteering shoes, runners, or light hiking boots
  • Indoor shoes (outdoor shoes must be removed when you enter the Ski Chalet)
  • Sandals or crocs (optional)
  • Orienteering clothes: O suit, or T shirt & lightweight long pants
  • Other clothes: shorts, extra T shirts
  • Socks: at least 10 pairs
  • Underwear
  • Pajamas (optional)
  • Rain gear
  • Cool weather gear (just in case: e.g. sweatshirt, sweatpants, fleece)
  • Sun hat
  • Sun screen
  • Sunglasses (optional)
  • Insect repellent
  • Whistle
  • Compass
  • SI stick (if you do not have one, we will lend one to you)
  • Small entertainment items such as a book or cards (optional)
  • Pens, pencils, some writing paper
  • Flashlight/headlamp
  • Watch (so you are not late for anything!)
  • Musical instrument suitable for campfire (if you have one)

Please DO NOT BRING:

  • Electronic devices – there will be too much else to do!!
  • Valuables such as jewelry or money.
